WELCOME TO

SYMPHONY READS MINISTRY (SRM)

"It was in my darkest hours of feeling alone, ashamed, and without hope the Lord my God met me where I was at and gave me peace from my traumas.  I understood in that moment I had a lot of work to do in my life to produce forgiveness, healing, and strength to leave behind the old mess and walk into my new life with Christ.  I was not alone and God's light shone upon the darkness."

Extending Grace

We should always be mindful of mental health for ourselves as well as others around us.  This does not mean tip toe around your whole life hoping not to trigger someone else.  More so to take the time to be mindful.  It's okay to smile, to say hello, to wish someone well, to take time out to listen, to pray for others.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.  If that means to show more patience in certain situations then by all means extend that patience out to others.  I look at this way, sometimes others are angry and lash out at you and you've done nothing or don't even know the person and/or situation.  It is in these times I ask God for help in extending out grace because we have no way of knowing nor understanding what has happen to bring that person to what is in front of you.  God's grace is extended to each and everyone of us, so we should extend to others. Ask God how to handle the situation.  Pray on their behalf.  We can show love instead of hate or adding more fuel to someone else's fire. Be blessed!

Blessed Beyond Measure

Life is difficult enough on its own.  I'm not sure when it was ever told that a person with much faith or a place in ministry will never face uncertainty and/or doubt.  We face the same struggles as anyone else.  We have good days and bad days just like anyone else.  To be told that this ministry isn't successful because I don't show myself winning.  That was a hard pill to swallow.  This ministry is to help encourage anyone as they face life's struggles.  It is the prayer of the ministry that any vulnerability and or transparencies shown to allow others to see 1, they are not alone in what it is they face. 2. Although the situation is difficult it is a choice on how we choose to deal with these situations.  3. God has us just as much in our struggles and in our triumphs. 4. We are to learn from one another, lift up one another, pray for one another.  This is the focus of Symphony Reads Ministry.  We are blessed beyond measure and so are you.  God loves you and sees you.  Declare it in the name of Jesus.  Be blessed!

Still Here & Able! Always Active....

June 16, 2021

It has been a while since Symphony Reads have posted.  There will be comments left asking if everything is ok?  First, from the bottom of Symphony Reads heart to all of the family and supporters of our ministry, we say thank you for checking on us individually and collectively. We are still here.  Even if we are not posting as much as we would like we are still do our monthly prayer meetings, online check-ins, and random acts of kindness.  We are planning to do something within the community next year, 2022.  SRM may evolve, but we are very much present.  One of our things is to go back to doing YouTube postings.  God has definitely kept us during the heart of the pandemic and as he continues to still keep us.  We pray and ask on a daily, how Lord do you want to use us today?  As He answers we here at Symphony Reads remains open to do God's will.  To all again, a huge thank you for all the love, support, and encouragement to continue.  Be blessed.

Philippians 4:6

June 16, 2021

This is a great go to scripture that is amazing when one is faced under pressure.  Ok, I will tell on myself here, there are times I get so anxious and/or worried about things that enter my mind.  I'm rather fixated on it for hours on end that it will affect my sleep, my eating, and frankly my time.  It's hard not to go there at least in my mind.  When I start to fill this way, honestly I go to my speed dial and read this passage right here.  It helps to ease my mind and to go to the source for help.  The help God provides is not just in one area or one time.  We have to take everything to God in prayer.  We have to ask for guidance.  He doesn't leave us stranded.  So, lets all do this one together, no matter the situation take it to God first.  Be blessed.

Proverbs 15:3 & Ecclesiastes 12:14

February 18, 2021

As scary as these scriptures may seem, at least to me, it honestly gave me so much comfort and assurance.  Why scary?  Let me explain, it reminds me of being young in my mother's home alone and always had that feeling that she was watching me even though she was not there.  When I would tell my mom the happenings in her absence she would say to me I already know.  These two passages reminds me of that same feeling.  It's scary to know everything we've done in secret really isn't a secret.  The comforting part about these scriptures is knowing no matter what good or bad I can go to God and talk to him regarding the situations because He already has knowledge of it.  So, like our parents when we think we've gotten away with something they always have a way of letting us know they already have knowledge of it.  There is no escaping what He sees.

Isaiah 55:8-9 & Ephesians 1:9

February 15, 2021

Let me tell you how I really missed it when I read Isaiah 55:8-9.  I thought I would never understand God's ways it will always seem very mysterious and the best kept secret I wasn't privy to.  Then I read Ephesians some time later and realize those who belong to the Lord, He clearly will make known the mysteries and/or His plans to his children. How sweet is God's love for His children.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

February 11, 2021

Over time I've studied love and its meaning, its essence and often times when I believe I understood love I've missed the mark.  The world's standard of love often comes with conditions for the love.  God standard for love is His essence that is given freely to all who choose it.  Two very different approaches to one simple word.  Scriptures teaches us the best part of God and who He is and that is love.  Whenever I get confused on love and my approach to loving I seek this verse because it clearly explains what love is not and definitely gives us definitive of what love is.

Ephesians 4:29

August 31, 2020

This one hits me personally for I know I always have something to say.  This reminds me to think before I speak and I have a choice in what I speak to others.  Instead of negative and hate how about love and kindness.  What we impart on others leave a lasting impression.  May the impressions we impart be of the same love and kindness that God gives to each of us.

Romans 12:9-13

June 2, 2020

How we are to treat one another is in the same fashion our God treats us.  Love is the number one key ingredient in our treatment towards one another.  God tells us how we are to show that love and not mix it with the ways of this world.  Let's not just say we walk in love and its truly clothed in hatred.

1 Peter 5:7

May 26, 2020

We all have so many concerns that we carry on a daily basis.  It is our burden and we feel solely responsible for it.  God tells us to give Him our burdens for He genuinely cares for us all.  Trust the One who can open doors no one can and close doors no one can open.  Be encouraged.
